Babar Azam Is The Guy To Dismiss Early: AB de Villiers Ahead of Ind vs Pak, Asia Cup

Ex-South African skipper and one of the Greats of the game AB de Villiers feels if India must get Pakistan skipper early in the game during high-voltage Ind vs Pak clash on September 2 in Kandy.

“I love talking about Babar Azam because he is one of the best players we have ever seen play this game and not just now. He is a huge rock in the Pakistan batting order. If India wants to keep Pakistan quiet, this is the guy to dismiss early because he keeps the batting lineup together and acts as a huge glue in the Pakistan middle-order,” De Villiers was quoted by The Indian Express.

The South African also felt that Babar Azam will be a significant aspect in the Pakistan side in the Asia Cup and World Cup 2023.

“He is a fantastic player and Pakistan need him in form for the Asia Cup and most importantly, for the World Cup,” he concluded.
