Asia Cup 2023: Bumrah Back Home In Mumbai; Wife Expecting First Child

Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganeshan are expecting the birth of their first child tomorrow, September 4 due to which the speedster has flown back to India from Sri Lanka.

The right-arm pacer will miss India’s match against Nepal to be played on Monday.

Bumrah has conveyed the team management that he wants to be with his wife, who is expecting their first child.

In response, BCCI had granted his leave as a result Bumrah flew back to Mumbai this afternoon. The Indian cricketer will join the team ahead of the Super-4 stage match.

The 29-year-old has made an international return in Asia Cup after long injury break.

Speaking of Asia Cup Rohit Sharma-led side played a washout on September 2, Saturday against arch-rivals Pakistan at Pallekele stadium. Both the teams were awarded one point each.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has qualified for the Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 with 3-points in two games.
