Asia Cup: Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Unhappy With Reserve Day Given To Ind vs Pak Clash

Hours after the Asian Cricket Council informed that India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 game will have a reserve day, the head coaches of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh coach expressed their disappointment over the development.
Notably, ACC has provided a reserve day for a game between arch-rivals but announced no such reserve day for the Sri Lanka and Bangladesh game.
Speaking on the eve of Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh game on September 8, SL coach Chris Silverwood said that his team would have liked to have an extra day.
“It’s not ideal,” Silverwood said.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh coach Hathurasingha said;
“There is a technical committee in Asia Cup represented by every participating country – 6 nations. They might have decided it for some other reason.”
Earlier, ACC announced September 11 as a reserve day for India vs Pakistan match scheduled on September 10 due to adverse nature of the weather in Colombo.
