Gyanvapi Mosque: ASI Team Starts Scientific Survey Following Varanasi Court Order – WATCH

Varanasi: Three days after Varanasi court allowed scientific survey of Gyanvapi mosque, 30-member team from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) arrived and began the survey of the mosque on Monday.
The AIS team intends to find out of the mosque was bult on top of an ancient Hindu temple. Watch the video here.
On Friday, July 21 district judge AK Vishvesh directed the ASI to submit a report to the court by August 4, along with the videos and photographs of survey proceedings.

Gyanvapi mosque : Court’s order
In it’s order, the court ordered the use of GPS (Ground Penetrating Radar) technology for survey ‘just below the three demons’ of the building in question’ and to conduct excavation there ‘if required.’
Meanwhile, the court has confirmed that mosque’s wazukhana will not be part of the survey – following Supreme Court’s order.
