Ashok Pandit’s 72 Hoorain Mints Rs. 2.5 Crore; Likely To Be Removed From Theatres

Ashok Pandit-produced ’72 Hoorain’ continues to be a horrible venture for the filmmakers as the controversial release has tanked at the box office.

Ever since it’s release, ’72 Hoorain’ failed to gain any attraction from the audience as it has also been accused of ‘hurting religious sentiments of a community.’

Box office collection:

The film release on July 7 without a trailer – featuring Pawan Malhotra and Amir Bashir – received mixed reviews and barely minted Rs. 40 Lakh on July 13. The film has now garnered around Rs. 2.5 crore.

About the film:

As per filmmakers, ’72 Hoorain’ was directed by Sanjay Puran Singh and produced by Ashoke Pandit, it is a satire on terrorism and people who think it is their staircase to heaven.

The film was earlier premier at the 50th IFFI 2019, and clinched the ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal-special mention for promoting peace and inter-culture dialogue.
