Arrest and prosecute each – MEA reacts to incident outside Indian High Commission in UK

New Delhi: India’s Ministry of External Affairs has reacted sharply after videos of Khalistani supporters barging into Indian High Commission in UK and pulled down Indian flag.

‘The senior-most UK diplomat in New Delhi was summoned late evening today to convey India’s strong protest at the action taken by separatist and extremist elements against the Indian High Commission in London earlier in the day,” MEA said.

It further informed that complete explanation was demanded from UK diplomat on lack of security at the Indian high commission.

“It is expected that the UK government would take immediate steps to identify, arrest and prosecute each one of those involved today’s incident, and put in place stringent measures to prevent the recurrence of such incident,” the MEA added.
