Another Cheetah ‘Dhatri’ Dies At Kuno National Park; Total Tally Nine

Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking turn of events, a female Cheetah ‘Dhatri’ was found dead in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park on Wednesday morning.
As per reports, officials are conducting a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
Notably, this is a latest in a series od Cheetah deaths at the Kuno National Park, where 20 Cheetahs were imported from South Africa and Namibia as part of an ambitious initiative known as Project Cheetah.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Aseem Shrivastava said that the cheetah has been identified as Dhatri, who was among the two remaining female cheetahs which were still out in the wild.
“Today morning one of the female Cheetahs, Dhatri, was found dead. To determine the cause of the death, post mortem is being conducted,” he told The Indian Express.
Since their arrival in India, a total of nine cheetahs have now tragically died, which includes three clubs that were born by the Cheetahs brought from Africa.
