Anantnag Encounter: Fourth Indian Soldier Succumbs To Injuries; Operation Underway

South Kashmir: In an unfortunate development, one more Indian soldier has succumbed to his injuries on Friday during an ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The total death tally has reached to four since Wednesday.
Reportedly, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.

Earlier, an Army Rashtriya Rifles Unit Commanding Officer (Colonel), a Company (Major) and a Jammu and Kashmir DSP were killed in the gunfight, that broke out between security forces and terrorists hiding in the Kokernag area in Anantnag on Wednesday.
Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish, and DSP Humayun Bhat are among the four officials killed. The identity of the four soldier who lost his life today has not yet been revealed.
