LUCKNOW: Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), launched a scathing critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, expressing confidence that his coalition known as PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) would prevail over the saffron party in the forthcoming elections.
In drawing a comparison between the recent performance of the Indian cricket team in the ongoing 2023 World Cup against Sri Lanka and his PDA’s prospects against the BJP, Yadav made a noteworthy statement.
In a tweet, he stated, “The BJP will meet the same fate against the PDA as India’s resounding victory over Sri Lanka in the latest World Cup 2023 match.”
This assertion implied that India’s remarkable triumph over Sri Lanka, with a record-breaking lead of 302 runs, positioned them as the first team to secure a spot in the Cricket World Cup semi-finals.
Furthermore, on October 30, Akhilesh Yadav emphasized that his party’s PDA, encompassing marginalized groups like women, constituting half of the country’s population, tribals, and the socially progressive segments, is a diverse coalition representing various sections of society.
