Ajit Agarkar Frontrunner For Chief Selector’s Post; Interviews On July 1

Mumbai: The Cricket Advisory Committee is likely to hold one-on-one interview with the applicants for the post of Chief Selector for the Indian Men’s team on July 1, Saturday.

Notably, the high-profile position is vacant since previous Chief of the Selector Chetan Sharma was sacked last year in December, following an explosive sting operation by Zee Network.

Meanwhile, India Today report has indicted that the BCCI has shortlisted names – Amol Majumdar and Tushar Arothe – for the role of Women’s Head Coach.

Both are likely to be interviewed on June 30.

As the Men’s team is gearing up for couple of high-stake tournaments this year like Asia Cup, Asian Games and ODI World Cup, whereas, women’s team will also make their maiden entry to Asian Games, later this year.
