In a significant development, Chinese President Xi Jinping will skip the G20 Summit in New Delhi.

Fresh reports have confirmed that Chinese officials have conveyed about Jinping’s absence from the summit and the Chinese delegation will be led by Premier Li Qiang.

After Russian President Valdimir Putin, Xi Jinping is the second leader to skip the G20 Summit in India.

Russian delegation would be led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
