After Jawan, Sanya Malhotra Reunites With Atlee For Varun Dhawan’s ‘VD18’

Mumbai: After the resounding success of ‘Jawan’ Sanya Malhotra has reunuted with Atlee for Varun Dhawan-starrer ‘VD18.’

Varun has commenced shooting for the film, and alongside South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh and Jubilee star Wamiqa Gabbi as leading ladies, Sanya has joined the ensemble.

Sanya Malhotra to make crucial cameo

While the film’s specific details have been shrouded in secrecy, it’s reported that Sanya Malhotra has agreed to make a cameo appearance in ‘VD18,’ reuniting with Atlee after their blockbuster collaboration on ‘Jawan.’

The nature of her role is yet undisclosed, but it’s believed to be a significant and impactful part in the movie’s narrative.

According to a source, “Sanya readily accepted Atlee’s request for a cameo. She had a wonderful experience working with him on ‘Jawan,’ and there was no way she could turn down his offer. This cameo is her way of showing gratitude to Atlee for giving her a blockbuster like ‘Jawan.’ She shot for her brief sequence with Varun in Bandra earlier this month.”

‘VD18’ is described as a dramatic entertainer that will captivate the audience with its intriguing storyline and dynamic action sequences.

The film features Varun as a police officer who goes into hiding to ensure his daughter’s safety, while Keerthy portrays the role of his wife. Other key actors in the film include Rajpal Yadav and Sheeba Chaddha.

Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the film is produced by Murad Khetani and Priya Atlee, with Atlee as the presenter. Varun Dhawan is expected to complete shooting by February 2024, targeting a theatrical release in May 2024.
