New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has unveiled the eagerly awaited poll schedule for upcoming assembly elections in five Indian states: Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Mizoram. T

hese elections, which have captured the nation’s attention, are set to commence on November 7, 2023, with the crucial counting of votes scheduled for December 3, 2023.

To ensure a seamless and efficient electoral process, the ECI has devised a multi-phase polling strategy for the five states. Here are the election dates for each state:

1. Chhattisgarh:

  • Chhattisgarh will conduct its elections in two phases.
  • Phase 1: November 7, 2023
  • Phase 2: November 17, 2023

2. Rajasthan:

  • Rajasthan will have a single-phase election.
  • Date: November 23, 2023

3. Madhya Pradesh:

  • Madhya Pradesh is set for a single-phase election.
  • Date: November 17, 2023

4. Telangana:

  • Telangana’s election will be a one-phase affair.
  • Date: November 30, 2023

5. Mizoram:

  • Mizoram will witness its state election in a single phase.
  • Date: November 7, 2023
