Delhi || 40-year-old woman shot by daughter’s boyfriend, accused at large

New Delhi: 40-year-old women was shot by her daughter’s boyfriend in the Delhi’s Desh Bandhu Gupta Road on Sunday evening. According to the Delhi Police, they received a call that shots had been fired at a house in the Desh Bandhu Gupta Road area.

Police informed that when the police team reached the spot, they found a woman sustained a bullet injury to her shoulder. Police rushed the woman to a hospital; she is still undergoing treatment but her condition is said to be normal.

Investigation by the Delhi Police revealed that accused identified as Alok, was in a live-in relationship with the woman’s daughter. On Sunday evening, there was a fight between Alok and his girlfriend over a dog.

Meanwhile, the woman’s other reached their house on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road to resolve the matter, but in a rage the accused shot her and fled. A FIR has been registered against Alok under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and Arms Act.

Police has informed that several teams have been formed to look for the accused, against whom cases under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code have been registered at Aman Vihar police station.
