2023 World Cup: Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Is Likely To Host One Of Semifinals – Report

Fresh reports have indicated that Kolkata’s Eden Garden is emerging as one of the strong contenders to host one of the two semifinals of the upcoming 2023 World Cup, scheduled to take place in India later this year.  

As reported earlier, Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium and the Chepauk stadium in Chennai were the frontrunners for the last four matches, but then Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru too found itself in the discussions.

Ahead of the 2023 World Cup schedule launch, Eden Gardens in Kolkata is emerging to be as one of the hot-favourites to host knockout games of the 2023 World Cup in India.

However, Cricbuzz has reported that semifinal games might go to Mumbai and Kolkata. Reportedly, the final schedule for the marquee event is likely to be revealed on June 26 (Tuesday).
